The world has its own problems, and you have yours and I have mine. Big and small and every size in-between. Debacles and dilemmas. There are things you never know that people carry. There are burdens you bear that no one will ever know. And these can only be resolved with love, not hate.

It’s always love. A force that is nurturing, meaningful, and life-giving.

Hate only creates more wounds and out of it spirals more hate. That could be the war in Gaza, or that could be yourself raging war against yourself. You can only stop the damage by choosing Greater love.

Love soothes and nourishes. It may not be an instant cure but you’ll know it’s there when it makes life more bearable. A song, a poem, kind words from a stranger or someone you love. Maybe there are no words at all, like a dance or a hot meal or a hug or a long stretch of patience waiting for the sun to come out. You know it's there and the outcome is always lighter, brighter, and better.

On days and nights when you are hurting, when life seems unfair, and nothing is working out, I hope you get that space to pause and to choose love, not hate.
